Sugar Bowl Ski Resort in Norden is only a three- hour drive from San Francisco. The mountain has 78 trails spread over 1,500 acres and another of America's venerable and very original ski resorts. New for thie 2005-06 season is a high-speed quad replacing the fix-gripped Christmas Tree lift and a 12,000-square-foot expansion to the Judah base lodge.
Lodging Profile
The Inn at Sugarbowl offers 27 hotel rooms slopeside. Additional lodging 10 minutes away in Truckee including The Best Western Truckee Tahoe Inn and the Richardson House Bed and Breakfast Inn.
Sevices Profile
Located within the Tahoe Basin which boasts the highest concentration of ski resorts and winter activities in North America and also offers a variety of dining and nightlife possibilities. Ski and snowboard lessons and rentals available. The 7,000-square-foot Mountain Sports Learning Center has ticketing, lessons, and rentals under one roof. Childcare for children ages 3 years to 6 years.

Racing, snowshoe tours, and snowboarding. Many more winter activities available within 10 miles.
Snowboarding Profile
All 90 trails are open for snowboarding. In addition, there are two terrain parks and a scorpion cut halfpipe. Full snowboard and boot rental facility. New this year will be an intermediate fun-for-all park. A family park for beginners and children will be sculpted out on Nob Hill.
