This is only the 2nd board I’ve ever had, and considering the first I had was an ex-rental, anything would be better. I found turning on the K2 board so easy, like once you have learned to ride a bike you never forget and don’t have to think about it again. It does wonders for your confidence as it is a pleasure to handle and it makes boarding easy to learn. Torah Bright's Bid for Gold

A special well done to Torah Bright who came fifth in the Womens Snowboard Halfpipe.

Her first run was abit of a shock and she jumped straight in with a fantastic second run.

Torino 2006 Begins

This reminds me of when I did this in Swtizerland!

Flying high in the freestyle.

As most of you would know the Winter Olympics started.

Yesterday we saw the Qualification runs for the Men's Halfpipe Final. Unfortunately no Australians have made it through to the final. Our three hopefuls Mitchell Allan, Andrew Burton & Ben Mates were unsuccessful. I personally haven't seen the runs yet, I think they are on TV tonight so I will be watching them with great interest.

The 6 riders that got through to the Final are split up from countries as follows: 3 USA, 2 Finland and 1 from Germany.

Section Division Hooded Insulated Jacket - Women's

Cold weather won't be a factor when you're decked out in the Section Women's Division Hooded Jacket. I ordered this jacket because I get cold very easily. I wanted something thick, warm, and waterproof for icy climates but appropriate for tepid environments. I just got the jacket, and I think it will live up to my expectations. I can wear it in 40-50F weather without shivering, and with a fleece underneath I’m sure it will provide plenty of warmth in freezing temperatures. Plus, it's cute! Since this site provides no sizing chart, I took a chance by ordering a medium (I usually go for a large because I have long arms). However, the jacket was actually bigger than I thought (but I'm going to keep it anyway). Here are measurements for size Medium of the actual jacket, not of body measurements for a person : - length of arm from collar to wrist: about 30in - top of jacket to bottom (front): 26in - length of bottom of jacket (just below hips): 47in - size of jacket around bust area : about 39in Additional comments about the jacket: there are three additional pockets that are not mentioned. One is above the pass pocket, another inside the coat, and the last is on the back. It is also machine washable at certain temperatures. - inamorata
